Final Cut Pro extension
The Media Sync Tool extension lives right in the Final Cut Pro toolbar, so you can sync media without switching to the main app.
What the extension does
Media Sync Tool includes a Final Cut Pro share extension that integrates into the Final Cut Pro toolbar. Once it’s available, you can send clips for syncing any time you need to, and the extension does the work on its own—you don’t have to bring the main application to the front.
Make the extension appear
For Final Cut Pro to recognize the extension, launch the main Media Sync Tool application at least once. After that, the extension icon appears on the Final Cut Pro toolbar. If the icon doesn’t show up, confirm that you have a supported version of Final Cut Pro installed—see System requirements.
Drag and drop is the only way in
You use the extension the same way you use the main application, with one difference: the extension has no application menu. Drag and drop is the only way to send media—drag your camera video and external audio onto the extension and it syncs them just like the main app.
Important: The extension only works once you’ve unlocked Media Sync Tool. If you haven’t subscribed or made a one-time purchase, activate your subscription or complete the purchase in the main app first—until then the extension won’t sync.
